Ideally, you want to target first year coaches with projected wins between 7 and 9. These are below-average to borderline playoff teams. The elite head coaches don't win these awards. On Draftkings, Chargers are at 9 projected wins, the Falcons are at 7.5 wins, and the Jaguars are at 6.5 wins. Staley coordinated the #1 D last year, has a bonafide star at QB in Herbert, has a slew of star players (James and Bosa) coming back from injury, and is replacing the dreadful Anthony Lynn. I'm very high on the Chargers this season. Smith had great success with Tennessee and should lead a high-scoring offense in ATL. Meyer plays in a very winnable division and has a generational talent at QB, although he's a rookie. These are my 3 favorite COY bets.
