Bakin' 5: Bookiemonster's Picks for NFL Week 11

Updated: Dec 3, 2022

Bakin' 5 is my take on Colin Cowherd's Blazin' 5. Every Friday, Cowherd announces his Blazin' 5 picks on his FS1 show, The Herd. The sports media personality selects his five favorite NFL bets of the week. On Bakin' 5, I'll post our selections.

Let's bake it up.

Colin Cowherd likes the Colts +7, the Vikings +1, the Saints +2, the Seahawks +1.5, and the Steelers +6. I like the Colts +7.5, the Football Team +3.5, the Texans +11, the Saints +2, and the Cowboys +2.5.

On Indianapolis (+7.5) vs Buffalo:

My reasoning is simple. Indianapolis is an ascending team, 7.5 is a key number, and the Colts run game can keep Josh Allen off the field. I think Buffalo is the better team, but Indianapolis is good enough to keep it within a touchdown.

On Washington (+3.5) vs Carolina:

Not buying the Cam Newton hype. He was a below-average quarterback last year, and I don't expect him to have this Carolina offense humming in just his second game with the team. I'll take the Football Team at the key number of 3.5. They're much healthier than they were before the bye week.

On Houston (+11) vs Tennessee:

The Titans are overrated. They've been outgained in their last two games. With the New England game next week and the lowly Texans coming to town, this is a lookahead spot for Tennessee. Expect the Tyrod Taylor-led Texans to keep it close against a banged up Titans team. Take the points.

On New Orleans (+2) vs Philadelphia:

Philadelphia has emphasized its run game in recent weeks, but New Orleans is not the team you want to try to run on. This plays right into their hands. This Saints team should've beaten the Titans last week. They bounce back with a big win before their Thanksgiving night matchup with Buffalo. Look to use the Saints in a Wong teaser.

On Dallas (+2.5) vs Kansas City:

Dallas is the better team here. Kansas City struggled to defeat the Daniel Jones-led Giants and the Jordan Love-led Packers in their last two home games. Dallas is a totally different beast. Burn the tape on the Broncos game. The Cowboys establish themselves as the team to beat in the NFC on Sunday. They should the ball at will and win outright. Look to use the Cowboys in a Wong teaser.

Season Scoreboard:

Cowherd's Blazin' 5: 23-28 (45%)

Bookiemonster's Bakin' 5: 31-14 (69%)
